PGE Energia Ciepła

PGE Energia Ciepła, member of PGE Group, is Poland’s largest producer of electricity and heat, which are produced using high-efficiency cogeneration. It is the Leader of the Heating Segment, separated on the basis of the PGE Group Heating Strategy, and the leader of the green transformation. In accordance with the adopted Decarbonisation Plan, from 2030, heat in PGE Energia Ciepła’s CHP plants will be produced only from low- and zero-emission sources.

It has approx. 25% share in the market of cogenerated heat, with 16 CHP plants (with heat power of 6.9 GWt and electric power of 2.6 GWe) and heating networks of more than 700 km in length.

PGE Energia Ciepła produces and supplies heat for large Polish cities, including: Kraków, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Wrocław, Rzeszów, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, Kielce and Szczecin. The Company is also present in Toruń, Zielona Góra, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zgierz, Siechnice near Wrocław and Gryfin, where it also distributes heat to end customers.
