The PGE Group is Poland’s largest company in the electricity sector in terms of revenues and generated profit. Thanks to the combination of its own fuel resources and energy generation, as well as ownership of distribution networks, PGE guarantees a safe and stable electricity supply to over five million customers.

The parent company of the PGE Group is PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (PGE S.A.) listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Activities of the PGE Group are currently organised in segments:

  • Conventional generation, i.e. lignite mining, electricity and heat generation using conventional sources,
  • District heating, i.e. generation of electricity and heat from cogeneration sources, as well as transmission and distribution of heat,
  • Conventional generation, i.e. lignite mining, electricity and heat generation using conventional sources,
  • Renewable energy, i.e. generation of electricity using renewable sources and pumped‑storage power plants and provision of system services,
  • Trade, i.e. wholesale trade in electricity on domestic and foreign markets, sales of electricity to end‑users, trade in CO₂ emission allowances, property rights and fuels, as well as provision of Corporate Centre services to companies comprising PGE Group,
  • Distribution, i.e. supply of electricity to end-users by means of high, medium and low voltage electrical power networks and equipment,
  • Circular economy, i.e. management of combustion by‑products (“UPS”) in the PGE Group,
  • Railway energy services; i.e. sale of electricity and fuels to railway operators,
  • Other activities, i.e. provision of services by subsidiaries to the PGE Group, including organisation of the acquisition of financing in the form of Eurobonds, provision of IT, accounting, HR and transport services, management of investment funds and investment in start‑ups.
